Bucaramanga & Chicamocha Canyon

Spent a few days in The Nest, a chilled out paragliding hostel right next to the takeoff overlooking Bucaramanga. Light thermic flying in the morning before it gets too windy, then ridge soaring in the late afternoon once it's calmed down again.
Did a day trip to Chicamocha Canyon (the 2nd biggest in the world) and had a spectacular late morning flight. There's a house thermal coming off a spur in front of the launch and it didn't disappoint,  propelling me up to base at 2600m as the day warmed up. The height of the canyon is about 1500m and over a 1000m deep and the view up at base was as incredible as you might expect.
It gets pretty rough down in the canyon in the afternoon so landed at 12 and finished the trip with a swim, a few beers and some barbecued goat. A good day!
